Tax TimeReceive Your 2016 W-2 Online

Your 2016 W-2 form (Wage and Tax Statement) is available online. View your W-2 »

To login and print your form, you must have had your Greenshades account established and verified. Please remember that if you have already consented to receive your W-2 through Greenshades, you will NOT receive a paper copy. If you do not consent to receive your W-2 through Greenshades, you will not be able to print a copy.

W-2 forms will be mailed no later than January 31, 2017, for those employees who do not consent to receive their form through their Greenshades account.

Form 1095-C (Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage) will be made available as soon as possible, but not later than March 2, 2017. Please remember that you do NOT need a 1095-C to file your income tax forms, and when received, it should simply be retained with your other tax records. If you believe there is information that would be contained in a 1095-C that would be material to your filing, please consult with tax preparation specialists.

Important Information Regarding Your W-4

As we start a new year and you begin to gather your information for the IRS income tax filing season, Payroll would like to share some important information with you regarding your Form W-4 (Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate) for 2017. Your W-4 tells Finance the correct amount of tax to withhold from your paycheck. Situations when you might need to change your W-4 include marriage, divorce, having a child, or if you discover through filing your federal income tax return that you had too little or too much withheld from your pay.

Your most recently filed Form W-4 remains in effect until you give Payroll a new one. You are not required to submit a new W-4, unless you have claimed “Exempt” from income tax withholding on line 7. When Payroll receives a new W-4, we will replace the existing one and withholding will begin, based on the new form, on the next payroll cycle.

If you are one of the employees who completed a Form W-4 in 2016 claiming “Exempt” from income tax withholding, that exemption from withholding is valid only for that calendar year. You must provide us with a new W-4 for 2017 to claim this exemption from withholding by February 15, 2017; otherwise, your withholding will change to Single with Zero allowances.

There are tax consequences for claiming exemption from withholding. You may want to seek the advice of a tax professional or CPA before claiming exemption from withholding on your W-4.

We encourage employees to visit the IRS Withholding Calculator on the IRS website. This tool is available to help individuals determine how many withholding allowances to claim on their Form W-4.
