The Library of Virginia, in collaboration with Dominion Energy, invites high schools students in Virginia to honor outstanding African Americans by participating in the 2018 Strong Men & Women in Virginia History student writing contest. Students should submit their 400-word essay online by midnight on Friday, November 10, 2017, for a chance to win an Apple MacBook Air and $1,000 for their school.
