The Edgar and Eleanor Shannon Foundation for Excellence in Public Education wants to help teachers and schools implement their best ideas. Two levels of proposals are invited for the 2018-19 school year:
- Level 1 grants, not to exceed $750, will be awarded to classroom teachers, individually or in teams, for projects that support original and innovative student activities.
- Level 2 grants, not to exceed $5,000, may be awarded to schools for creative projects that enhance student learning across age and grade levels.
New this year: Completed applications may be submitted electronically as a PDF document to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, April 20, 2018. Or, you may submit your completed application to Phil Giaramita, Strategic Communications Officer (email@example.com), also by April 20.

Important: All grant applications that include technology purchases must be reviewed by LEAD (previously DART) prior to submission. If your proposal includes funding for classroom technology, you must email a complete Microsoft Word version of your full proposal to both Becky Fisher (firstname.lastname@example.org) and your principal for review no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, April 16. Please include “Shannon Grant Application” in the subject line of your email. You are encouraged to visit LEAD’s Technology Purchasing Support web page for a catalog of commonly purchased items and to consult with your LTI and CSS prior to this deadline.
