Employee & Community Resources for August Events

Resilient Cville
During the summer of 2017, the events in Charlottesville impacted our community and all of us living and working in the surrounding area. It is important to recognize that the anniversary of these events may be a challenging time due to traumatic memories and lingering stress. There are resources available for community members and County employees to help us through these and other difficult events.

ResilientCville is the information hub for community events, media updates, road closures, and more. You also may access this site through the link on the Albemarle County homepage.

Optima EAP
County employees have free confidential counseling benefits through our partner, Optima EAP. Employees and household members may use up to five free visits per person, per presenting issue. These can be in-person sessions or through Optima’s Distance Counseling using a computer or smartphone. Optima also provides online resources such as articles and videos. Visit BeWell Albemarle for more details.Resilience PosterThe Community Mental Health and Wellness Coalition developed the Strategies for Personal & Community Resilience poster with tips and support services available to anyone in the Charlottesville-Albemarle area.
