Calendar Draft 2The Calendar Committee has created a second draft of the 2019-20 School Year Calendar in response to survey feedback.

The purpose of our recent calendar survey was to collect community input on the Calendar Committee’s first draft of the 2019-20 School Year Calendar. In total, 1,018 students, parents, employees, and community members reviewed the initial draft and provided feedback over a two-week period, from November 2-16. More than 70% of the survey respondents indicated that they were either satisfied or very satisfied with Draft 1. After reviewing all 527 comments from the survey, the Calendar Committee opted to address a prominent request to spread out the professional development days a bit more. Draft 2 of the 2019-20 School Year Calendar, which includes shifting the September 20 Professional Development Day to September 30, will go before the School Board as an Information Item on December 6. Public comment will be accepted at that meeting.
