High School Student Video Contest
The Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) is asking high school students to express their thoughts and ideas about What’s Super About Public Schools through its second student video contest. Schools are invited to submit a 30-second video that conveys the contest theme. The top 3 videos, along with those identified by the judges as Honorable Mentions, will be posted on VSBA’s YouTube site. Submissions must be received by October 1, 2013. Continue reading

Toshiba America Foundation Offers Grant to Support Science or Math Education
Toshiba America Foundation’s mission is to provide teachers with additional funds to support classroom projects. Any K-5 teacher in a public or private (not-for-profit) school is eligible for a grant to support science or math education up to $1,000 for project materials only.
