Get Moving in Our County Parks
To help the community and employees get moving, Albemarle County will be hosting a guided walking tour at one county park each Thursday evening between September 26 and October 17. Connected Educator Month (CEM) Resource Center Opens
Plan your activities, put them on the calendar, promote CEM, and more! In collaboration with a wide range of educational organizations and educators, the Connected Educators project is increasing the quality, accessibility and connectedness of existing and emerging online communities of practice. Visit the 2013 Resource Center to take part in the conversation, help get the word out, plan/put an event/activity on the CEM calendar, and share what you’re already doing.
Lose Well
Formerly the Medically Supervised Weight Loss Program, this six-month program focuses on lifestyle changes in order to lose weight and continue to keep it off in the long term. It includes intake and exit assessments, individual nutrition counseling, group nutrition sessions, personal training sessions, access to ACAC, and more. Continue reading
