Battelle invites your students to the 2015 Women’s Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) Forum on Friday, April 24, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the UVA Northfork Research Park, Town Center II, 4th floor conference center. Battelle is targeting 5-8 students per school in 10th-11th grade.
By attending this professional development conference, students will benefit from the real-world experience of speakers, attend speed-mentoring sessions, and network with professional working women from multiple STEM-related industries. This event is suitable for students who are pursuing an education in STEM, or are members of the National Honor Society or student government, or have other leadership roles at school or in their community.
Speakers will include women in leadership roles throughout our community. Topics will encompass how to pursue a STEM career and advisement on educational direction. A keynote speaker will highlight her own personal and professional experiences. Panel sessions and speed-mentoring will provide one-on-one career advice and mentorship opportunities.
To RSVP or for more information, please contact Heather Arquitt at arquitth@battelle.org or 434-951-2142.
