In alignment with the state’s holiday schedule, and in concert with local government’s decision, the Albemarle County School Board has granted 12-month employees an additional day of holiday leave on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. All school division offices will close at noon on Friday, December 22, and will reopen for normal business hours on Wednesday, January 3. Best wishes for a happy, healthy, joy-filled holiday!

Teachers: Get Free Admission to the “Terracotta Army” Exhibition
Governor McAuliffe has announced that K-12 teachers in Virginia can receive free admission to the Terracotta Army: Legacy of the First Emperor of China exhibition at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) in Richmond. Terracotta Army showcases 130 works of art, drawn from the collections of 14 art museums and archaeological institutes across Shaanxi Province in China. Read the VMFA’s press release »
