The National Education Association (NEA) Foundation offers multiple grant opportunities for educators, including Student Achievement Grants and Learning & Leadership Grants. Three grant deadlines are established annually: February 1, June 1, and October 15. Two levels of funding are available: $2,000 and $5,000. BeWell Albemarle has partnered with Local Food Hub to bring fresh, local produce to County employees. You can eat great food AND support our local farmers! The Fresh Farmacy program requires 25 or more participants for each location (COB McIntire, Agnor-Hurt Elementary School, Monticello Fire Rescue, ACPD Crozet Satellite Office).

Learn about the History of African-Americans at UVA on a guided tour with University Guide Service. The tour will cover the University’s complicated racial legacies of slavery and discrimination. Topics include slavery, integration, and a discussion of the modern racial climate at UVA. The tour group will meet at the Lawn (South) side steps of the Rotunda. Please register by 5 p.m. on Friday, September 7.

Blackboard Learn Resources for 2018-19
Blackboard Learn (Bb Learn) is now set up and ready for the 2018-19 school year. Teachers interested in using Blackboard this school year will need to activate classes using the Blackboard Class Request Form (PDF version or MS Word version). The form contains important information about how to request classes and when to select a master class. You also can view a sample form to assist you as you complete the form for your classes.
