We’ve all been there. A new technology comes along, and suddenly there’s a learning curve that wasn’t there before. But once you were on the other side of it, it’s likely you wondered how you’d ever managed “the old way.”

Today, we are on the edge of the old way … and a new, better way is on the immediate horizon. In the next few weeks, you’ll be at the start of a new learning curve, and you’re going to have company: All of us will be there with you.

2019-20 LTI and TSS Assignments

LEAD

As part of our continuous improvement efforts, the LEAD department will be adjusting some LTI and TSS building assignments for next year. Our department leadership gave careful thought to the assignments, ensuring they were based on the following criteria: number of students to support; number of devices requiring support; geographic proximity, aligning more with feeder patterns/coaching clusters; and LTI time capture data.

Standing Together When Tragedy Hits Home, Plus Two Webinars on “Coping with Traumatic Events” on June 10

Included below are resources from Optima, our Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) provider. In addition to their crisis line and in-person counseling, Optima offers distance counseling where you can talk with a counselor using a smartphone or computer with video capability rather than making an office appointment.

Also, we are offering two webinars for Albemarle County employees on Coping with Traumatic Events: Emotional and Psychological Safety in the Wake of Tragedy. Sessions will be facilitated by one of our EAP clinicians on Monday, June 10, at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. EDT. Continue reading
