2018-2019 SOL Pass Rates

Last week, the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) released data on the performance of students on Standards of Learning (SOL) assessments in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and history/social science during the 2018-2019 school year. Read the VDOE news release »

In tandem with the news release, the VDOE provided school divisions with talking points (Key Messages on 2018-2019 SOL Test Results) about the performance of students and schools on last year’s assessments.

Reminder: Change in Practice for Student Passwords

Today, Tuesday, August 20, every student’s ACPS Network Account Password will reset to their student lunch number. New students will receive their ACPS network information at their school.

Financial Vendor Requests for Access

The start of a new school year brings increased requests from financial services vendors who wish to have access to our employees. They may indicate that they are “official” County vendors and have Human Resources Department approval to present information about their products to staff. Welcome back! I hope you all had an enjoyable and rejuvenating summer. I want to remind everyone that we will be implementing Kronos, our new time and attendance system, this fall. Implementation for all employees will begin on October 19, 2019.

What Does This Mean?
