New Drop-off Location for Mail-in Ballots
As many as 70,000 Albemarle County voters are expected to participate in the presidential election this year. As an additional service to voters, the Albemarle County Registrar’s Office has established a new location where completed mail-in ballots can be submitted. Beginning Monday of next week, ballots can be dropped off at Albemarle High School on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings between 8:00 and 11:00 and on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons between 2:00 and 5:00. In a time of multiple and overlapping crises—the COVID-19 pandemic, a national reckoning on race and injustice, political polarization, and threats to voting rights and access—how will you teach about current events, including the election? ACPS is offering three connected workshops, each facilitated by Facing History and Ourselves, that can be taken collectively or à la carte. Each opportunity will offer resources, support and strategies to teach in this environment.
