Is Your Computer Running Slowly? Having It Reimaged Can Fix That!

It may be time to refresh your computer so that it will be reliable, safe, and up-to-date with our most current software that supports teaching and learning!

Teachers: You can work with your school’s assigned TSS staff member to schedule a time to have your computer reimaged. During the reimaging process, everything is deleted from your computer, including all of your documents, pictures, videos, bookmarks, etc. In order to retain all of your files, you will need to back up your computer before it is reimaged. After several months in development, we are delighted to invite you to view a draft of our new Albemarle County Public Schools Strategic Plan!

Our strategic plan is how we define the direction that ACPS will take over the next several years. It includes our vision and mission for the school division, as well as our hopes for all of our students and how we will allocate resources to make those a reality.

CoderDojo 2021: Teaching Positions Now Open

The CoderDojo Teacher Interest Form for Summer 2021 is now open! Interested teachers should complete this brief form by May 21. Participating teachers will receive $350 and 20 recertification points per week.

CoderDojo is a summer coding camp that provides ACPS elementary students with opportunities for creativity, innovation and fun. As a part of our Summer Recovery program, CoderDojo will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each week in July at various locations throughout the county. Teachers may sign up for individual weeks or the entire month. Continue reading

2021-22 Virtual School: Now Hiring Teachers

ACPS Educators: As we recently shared, Albemarle County Public Schools will offer a Virtual School for the 2021-22 school year. The purpose of our virtual campus is to provide a full-day alternative learning environment for our families who have students who do not wish to return to face-to face learning due to concerns related to the pandemic. The virtual campus will serve students enrolled in Albemarle County elementary, middle and high schools.
