The 8th annual WinterSongs benefit concert, which raises money for the Shelter for Help in Emergency, will be performed via livestream this Saturday, February 26, beginning at 1 p.m. Joining the Burley Bearettes Treble Chorus this Saturday will be vocalists from Albemarle High School’s Advanced Women’s Ensemble; Monticello High School’s Women’s Chorus, No Fella A Capella; and The Knightengales from Charlottesville High School. Due to COVID-19 health concerns, the concert will be performed live from Monticello High School and broadcast to the public via livestream.
The concert is offered to the public for free, but tax-deductible donations to the Shelter for Help in Emergency are encouraged. To date, the annual WinterSongs event has raised almost $30,000 to support the work of our local domestic violence shelter.
