Virginia Employment CommissionThe Virginia Employment Commission is hosting a Teen Opportunities Job Fair on Thursday, March 31, from 10 a.m. to Noon and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The event will connect participants to area businesses and organizations offering hundreds of jobs, internships, and volunteer experiences for teens. Teacher Transfer Requests for 2016-17: Submit Your Request by April 1

TransferTeacher Transfer Requests are now open to all tenured teachers desiring new assignments for the upcoming school year. Teachers who are on a Performance Improvement Plan or who will be on an active improvement plan for the upcoming school year are not eligible to apply for a transfer. NEA Learning & Leadership Grants: Applications Accepted Anytime

NEA Foundation LogoThe National Education Association (NEA) Foundation is inviting applications for its Learning and Leadership Grants program. The program provides support to public school teachers, counselors, and education support professionals* toward participation in high-quality professional development experiences. The grant amount is $2,000 for individuals, and applicants must be current NEA members.
