Urgent Update: Status of Collective Bargaining

The School Board Subcommittee on Collective Bargaining and the Albemarle Education Association (AEA) have come to an agreement concerning a draft resolution that the School Board will consider in an upcoming meeting. This resolution will set the parameters and “guardrails” for the process of collective bargaining in ACPS.

Superintendent Haas will host the second All-Welcome Meeting on Friday, March 29, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the Monticello High School Forum. These gatherings provide a unique opportunity for employees to engage directly with the superintendent and executive staff and gain insights into the latest developments, initiatives, and future plans of the school division.

All employees are welcome! Our March 29 meeting will include refreshments (bagels, donuts and coffee) and three door prizes (ACPS apparel or a book of your choice). We’ll briefly discuss the state of our 2024-25 budget and then answer your questions from the question box! Joining Dr. Haas for Q&A will be AEA Vice President and Journey Middle School reading interventionist, Mary McIntyre.
