Attention all ACPS employees! Open Enrollment is coming November 1-15! Inclement weather is sure to pay a visit this winter! We don’t want you to miss out on important messages, like reminders to participate in Open Enrollment and announcements about school schedule changes. We encourage you to sign in to our Electronic School Notification System and register your personal email address and/or up to two telephone numbers –OR– if you are already registered, check to make sure we have your preferred contact information on file.

Albemarle County Public Schools uses an Electronic School Notification System (ESNS) to share important information with parents/guardians, employees, and students* through voice, email and text messaging. We currently use a company called BrightArrow to provide this service.

As an employee, your ACPS email address is automatically enrolled in our notification system. However, you can also add a personal email address and up to two phone numbers for receiving voice and/or text messages. Please visit the Employees tab of our Electronic School Notification System web page and sign in to our Electronic School Notification System to review, update, enroll or unenroll your contact information.

School-based employees who enroll personal contact information will receive messages sent from their school as well as messages sent from the division. Department-based employees will only receive messages sent from the division.

If you would like to receive text messages from ACPS, you must do TWO things:

1. You must sign in to our Electronic School Notification System, provide your mobile phone number, and select “Yes” in the box that asks, “Receive Text Messages?”
2. You must opt in. You can opt in to text messaging at any time by sending the word “Yes” to the short code 87569. Alternatively, you can wait to receive your first text message from ACPS, at which time you will also receive an invitation to opt in to future messages. Simply reply “Yes” to that invitation. (If you do not respond to that invitation, the system will not send you future text messages.) Once you opt in, BrightArrow will send you a confirmation that your phone number is subscribed.

All text messages will come from the short code 87569. (Please note: Not all messages sent by schools or the division will be sent via text.)
