Please note that some classes may require outside work (such as reading a book). If your supervisor requires you to take such a class, the time associated with outside work is compensable time subject to FLSA and County policies. If you are not required to take such a class, you may be expected to do the outside work on your own time. Please talk with your supervisor beforehand to clarify expectations.
