Automotive Technology Program Training – Registration Extended to October 8!

Automotive Tech StudentAttention school counselors: Registration for this training opportunity has been extended to October 8!

The Virginia Department of Education in partnership with the Virginia Automobile Dealers Association presents the Automotive Technology Program Training on October 15, 2014 at Northern Virginia Community College. Designed for school counselors, this four-hour training will focus on career opportunities for students interested in the automotive technology industry.

Topics will include:

  • Advances in vehicle technology and diagnostics;
  • Knowledge and skills required for students interested in careers in  the automotive technology industry, including critical thinking and problem solving;
  • Graduation requirements;
  • Industry credentialing; and
  • Academic and Career Plan scenarios.

One session will be offered, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., and lunch will be provided.
