Available Stipend Positions – Respond by Feb. 10

CoderDojoAlbemarle County Public Schools seeks to fill the following two stipend positions: CoderDojo Leader and CoderDojo Mentor. Interested staff should email Ira Socol, Design Project Manager, at isocol@k12albemarle.org by Monday, February 10, 2014. Please include a list of your relevant experience (coding, clubs, etc.).

The CODERDOJO LEADER will provide supervision over the school division’s two CoderDojo mentors and the summer CoderDojo Academy.

The CoderDojo Leader will:

  • Coordinate all student registrations for CoderDojo Academy and site-based CoderDojos.
  • Coordinate, reserve, and assure preparation of the site locations for monthly school year area and centralized summer CoderDojo Activities.
  • Develop partnerships with outside groups to support the CoderDojo.
  • Recruit and maintain CoderDojo Mentors and CoderDojo volunteer facilitators.
  • Develop reports about the CoderDojo Program.
  • Seek grants and outside funding to help support the Coderdojo Program.
  • Communicate with global CoderDojo facilitators as appropriate for professional learning.
  • Provide mentorship and training to Codojo Mentors and volunteer facilitators.

Annual Stipend: $1,300.00

The CODERDOJO MENTOR will provide supervision and leadership for a site-based CoderDojo within a given feeder pattern(s) and serve as a mentor at the summer CoderDojo Academy.

The CoderDojo Mentor will:

  • Coordinate with CoderDojo Lead for all student registrations for site-based CoderDojos.
  • Coordinate with CoderDojo Lead to reserve and assure preparation of the site locations for school.
  • Develop partnerships within the feeder pattern to support the coderdojo.
  • Recruit and maintain CoderDojo volunteer facilitators to support site-based CoderDojo.
  • Develop reports about the CoderDojo Program within the feeder pattern.
  • Seek grants and outside funding to help support the CoderDojo Program.
  • Provide mentorship and training to volunteer facilitators.
  • Communicate with global CoderDojo facilitators as appropriate for professional learning.

Annual Stipend: $1,000.00
