Kronos, our new time and attendance system, is coming! To help our school division employees, timekeepers and supervisors learn to use the system effectively, we will begin implementation using a three-phased approach:

Based on feedback received regarding the training for Kronos, our new time and attendance system, we have made a few adjustments to the training schedule.
Please note the following:
You may know that the children of Albemarle County Public Schools and Albemarle County Local Government employees who live outside of the county are eligible to attend Albemarle County public schools on a tuition basis. Did you know, though, that the School Board reduced the annual tuition from half of the local cost to $1,000 per pupil? Policy JEC, School Admission, reflects this change and states that the Superintendent will set the tuition each academic year.

New Anthem medical benefit cards are on the way! Your new card will contain updated information and must be used beginning October 1, at which time your old card will no longer be valid. And then … you will receive another new card in December for use beginning January 1. Learn more »

Each fiscal year (July through June), all 12-month regular employees receive 12 paid holidays, with additional holidays added at the discretion of the School Board. See the Holiday Schedule for a complete list of holidays granted to 12-month school employees in the 2019-20 school year.

The Kronos Implementation Team has determined that additional time is needed to ensure that our new time and attendance system will provide the best user experience for our employees. Rather than move forward with implementation in July, we are postponing implementation until mid-October. Continue reading
