Budget Survey Will Remain Open Through December 17
Since our budget survey opened nearly two weeks ago, we have received more than 1,200 responses. If you have already participated, thank you!

2018-19 Budget Survey Open Through Dec. 3
Albemarle County Public Schools is beginning to develop the 2018-19 Superintendent’s Funding Request. As we embark on this budget development process, your input is of great importance to us. The 2018-19 Budget Survey is designed to help the school division understand how well we have communicated the annual budget process to our community and to determine the degree to which our community members support various research-based proposals for improving our services. Board of Supervisors Adopts FY18 Budget
On Monday, May 15, 2017, the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors conducted a public hearing on the Calendar Year 17 Tax Rate. Formal approval of the tax rate and adoption of the FY 18 budget followed that public hearing.
The adopted Fiscal Year 2018 combined capital and operating budget totals $397,897,173 and is balanced with a tax rate of $0.839 per $100 of assessed value. Continue reading
Community Outreach Survey: Summary Report
From November 16-27, 2016, we received 1,119 responses to our Community Outreach Survey from ACPS students, parents, employees, and community members. Our goal in administering this survey was to provide, define, and give examples of research-based elements of effective schools and ask our stakeholders to rank them in order of our effectiveness, and in so doing, provide an opportunity for community input to assist the Superintendent and School Board in developing a funding request for 2017-18.
