As a reminder, on Thursday, April 27, the Albemarle County School Board granted 12-month employees additional leave in alignment with the state’s holiday schedule: Offices will close at noon on Wednesday, November 22 (4 hours), and again on Friday, December 22 (4 hours). Interpretation/Translation Training – September 20 or 21
The ESOL Office is offering its annual Interpretation/Translation Training to all teachers, teaching assistants, office associates, and any other school personnel who interpret in another language as part of their job duties. Additional Holiday Leave in 2017 for 12-Month Employees
Do your happy dance! Last Thursday, the Albemarle County School Board granted 12-month employees additional leave in alignment with the state’s holiday schedule: Offices now will be closed on Monday, July 3 (8 hours). Additionally, offices will close at noon on Wednesday, November 22 (4 hours), and again on Friday, December 22 (4 hours).
We Notice: Nominate an Employee by March 24; Attend the Recognition Celebration on April 20
The Albemarle County Student Advisory Council, in partnership with Albemarle County Public Schools, has kicked off the annual We Notice Program! Students, parents, and employees are invited to recognize a teacher or staff member whose work should be celebrated. Any ACPS employee (teacher, office associate, building services team member, teaching assistant, cafeteria worker, school nurse, bus driver) is eligible for recognition, but nominations must be received by March 24.
