Wolf Trap classroom residencies are creative partnerships between “Teaching Artists” (musicians, dancers, actors and puppeteers) and early childhood educators as they collaborate in using the performing arts to engage children, enrich their learning, and reinforce curriculum. Calling all musicians! The Albemarle County Concert Band is open to people of all ability levels and performance experiences who are interested in playing in a concert band and making music together. We rehearse in the band room at Burley Middle School on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8. If you are interested in joining or would like more information, please contact Jean Flaherty.

Beginning next week and continuing through May, we will offer weekly learning opportunities from Wolf Trap Master Teaching Artists who specialize in music, movement, drama, or puppetry. WinterSongs: Don’t Miss Our Annual Benefit Concert Tomorrow Night!
Saturday, February 29 | 5 p.m. | Monticello High School Auditorium
The 6th annual WinterSongs concert to benefit the Shelter for Help in Emergency (SHE) is this Saturday, February 29, at 5 p.m. in the Monticello High School auditorium. The event, which brings together nearly 300 young women vocalists for a day of empowerment, sharing and music, has raised over $20,000 to benefit local victims of relationship violence.
