You’ve probably heard that I am hosting a Listening Tour this summer. My intention is to relearn our school system from a new perspective—to see and understand our students, parents, employees, and school communities through new eyes and ears.
Perhaps you have already attended one of my listening sessions this summer. If you have not yet had the opportunity, I invite you to join me at an upcoming session specifically dedicated to classified employees. We will meet on Thursday, September 6, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Albemarle High School.
I’m looking forward to hearing your perspectives and learning about your needs, challenges, hopes and ideas. My goal is to hear from as many of you as possible, to gain a deeper understanding of your personal perspectives and ambitions as valued members of our school community.
If you plan to attend on September 6, please take a moment to register.
If you are unable to join me in person, I hope you will share your ideas through the Online Feedback Form before it closes on August 31. You also may follow the progress of my first 100 days as Superintendent online at www.k12albemarle.org/First100Days.
Thank you for the unparalleled quality and commitment you bring into our schools and departments each and every day. I look forward to serving you.
Matt
