To help the community and employees get moving, Albemarle County will be hosting a guided walking tour at one county park each Thursday evening between September 26 and October 17. These one-hour walking tours will help familiarize you with our county’s fantastic parks! Walks begin at 5:30 p.m. This event is free and open to all!

Join us for one or more of the following tours:

• Thursday, September 26 – Old Mills Trail (central Albemarle)
  Meet at the boat launch at Darden Towe Park.
• Thursday, October 3 – Mint Springs Valley Park (western Albemarle)
  Meet at the trail kiosk, by the main parking lot.
• Thursday, October 10 – Preddy Creek Trail Park (northern Albemarle)
  Meet at the trail kiosk.
• Thursday, October 17 – Walnut Creek Park (southern Albemarle)
  Meet at Shelter #1 in the main beach parking lot.
