HR Weekly Update: Retirement Savings Plan Mailing & New Anthem Cards Headed Your Way

Introduction to Our New 403(b) Retirement Savings Plan Arriving in Homes Soon!

Retirement

As we shared recently in our Dec. 1 Compass post, ACPS is getting its first official 403(b) retirement savings plan. We anticipate that employees will be able to make contributions to the new plan as of the February 17 payroll.

In the next few days, employees will receive a communication via U.S. Mail that will briefly introduce the new plan and the record-keeper for the plan, Lincoln Financial Group. The communication will also include FAQs that you may find helpful. We hope that you will review this information and continue to keep an eye out for more details on the plan as we communicate them in January, including how/where you can learn more and how you can schedule a time to meet with a Lincoln representative.

New Anthem Cards Coming at the End of This Month!

Toward the end of December, all medical and dental plan members will receive new Anthem ID cards. Your new card will contain updated information and must be used beginning January 1, at which time your old cards will no longer be valid. If you will be participating on our medical or dental plans in 2023, please be on the lookout for your new card(s) later this month.

This change is necessary due to service enhancements that are included in our new Anthem contract. As a participant, you will need to present your new Anthem ID card when you visit your health care providers, hospitals, pharmacies, etc. Failure to use the new cards will result in rejected claims, so please be sure to update your providers.

For convenient access to your ID cards, we suggest that you download Anthem’s Sydney Health app on your smartphone. Once you link this to your Anthem.com account, you will always have your current Anthem ID information, for you and your covered family members, right at your fingertips. You can learn more about the Sydney Health app on Anthem’s website.
