Welcome to the fifth edition of ACPS TechKnow, a monthly newsletter to keep our school communities in the know about technology in ACPS! In this staff edition, we’re excited to share that ACPS has added a wealth of new resources to ClassLink!
ClassLink is a tool that streamlines student, teacher and staff access to the ACPS guaranteed viable curriculum and other approved applications through one login portal. It can be accessed by clicking “Classlink” in the “ACPS Bookmarks” folder on your web browser. See our ClassLink Support page for more on using ClassLink.
New resources include:
- Adobe web resources (Photoshop, Lightroom, Express, Firefly, Acrobat)
- Canva
- WeVideo
- Microsoft web apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note)
- And many more in the Access Library!
Many of these resources are also available to use with students as a way to empower student voice in your classroom. During Digital Learning Day, many teachers shared examples of how they used some of these tools to increase student engagement:
- 🎥 Podcasting with WeVideo (Lynn Define, Western Albemarle High School)
- 📰 Digital Newspapers and Stories with Canva (Beth Schrank, Henley Middle School)
- 📚 Insight into Reading Instruction with SeeSaw (Liza Wigginton, Stone-Robinson Elementary School)
