Effective July 1, 2013, every person seeking initial licensure or renewing a license must be certified or trained in CPR, AED and First Aid. If you would like to read more about this requirement, here are links to the memo and FAQ from the Virginia Department of Education.

There are many options available to acquire this training, including classes being offered by ACPS. Click here to view the schedule and reserve a space in an upcoming class. If you have had this training recently, you need to send a legible copy of your documentation to Beth Churms. If you are unable meet this requirement for medical reasons, please send a doctor’s note for your medical file.
