In preparation for the upcoming benefits Open Enrollment window (November 1-15), our Open Enrollment info site is now live! This site is your go-to source of information for all things Open Enrollment! Be prepared for this year’s Open Enrollment by taking time to review your benefits options before Open Enrollment starts on November 1. On this site, you will find:
- A summary of your benefits options (including info about our NEW voluntary vision plan!)
- Rates for the 2024 Plan Year (Jan. 1 – Dec. 31, 2024)
- Help guides for using the ADP Open Enrollment module
- Plan summaries and comparisons
- Updated benefits guidebook, including links to short videos that explain frequently used benefits terms
- NEW interactive benefits selection tool (PLANselect), which helps you pick the medical plan that provides the best value for YOU based on how you and your covered family members use your medical benefits (It’s quick and easy to use!)
- Info about how and where you can get assistance with your Open Enrollment questions
- And more!
We’ll continue to add content to the site as we finalize resources over the next few weeks, so please check back if you don’t see something you’re looking for. In the meantime, here’s what you need to know about our plans for next year:
Medical
There will be increases to our medical plan rates for 2024:
- Employees will see increases of $2-$40 per pay period, depending on plan and tier.
- Corresponding Employer contribution increases range from $21-$298 per pay period.
Due to IRS requirements, the deductibles on the Albemarle Choice Plan must increase for 2024:
- Individual deductible: $3,200 (was $3,000)
- Family (one or more dependents on plan): $6,400 (was $6,000)
- We are increasing employer HSA contributions; please see the HSA section below.
NEW Voluntary Vision Plan: Available to all benefits-eligible employees and their spouses and children, this plan includes coverage for exams, eyeglasses, and contact lenses.
Dental
There will be no changes to dental plan offerings or rates for 2024.
FSA (Flexible Spending Account)
Contribution maximum and rollover amounts: The IRS has not yet announced 2024 contribution maximums. We will update you when these are communicated.
HSA (Health Savings Account)
Available only to participants on our High Deductible Health Plan, Albemarle Choice
Contribution Maximums (employee + employer) for 2024:
- Individual plan: $4,150
- Family plan (one or more dependents): $8,300
- Catch up provisions for those aged 55+ remain at an additional $1,000
ACPS will contribute:
- Individual plan: $1,272*
- Family plan (one or more dependents): $2,232*
*if eligible for the entirety of 2024
