In an effort to increase interest and education in construction and the building trades among young women, UVA Facilities Management will host its 4th annual Girls Day on Thursday, June 13, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Charlottesville area community members are invited to register girls between the ages of 10-16 to participate. The goal of Girls Day is to inspire and excite girls to consider a career in construction by offering behind-the-scenes tours of work sites, hands-on activities with our tradespeople, and opportunities to hear from dynamic women in Facilities Management and what they love about their careers.
