Every year, the Shannon Foundation awards up to 20 grants ranging from a few hundred dollars to $5,000 to teachers in the Albemarle County and Charlottesville City school divisions. Albemarle County teachers usually earn more than half of these grants, which support innovative learning ideas in classrooms from the earliest learners to high school. In fact, many of our teachers have received awards in multiple grant years.
The process to apply for financial support is simple, and it takes only a few minutes to complete the online grant application. The deadline to apply is two weeks from today, Friday, April 16.
