What Superintendent Moran has to say: Every one of us has one purpose for working in Albemarle County Public Schools: ensuring that every learner, from our 4-year-olds to our soon to be 2018 grads, gets what he or she needs to achieve success. This article states that learning should allow students to (1) be intellectually curious, (2) be persistent in their pursuit of learning, and (3) participate actively in challenging and interesting work. We want our young people to be inspired learners. From the moment a student steps onto a bus to the last moment he or she exits our school doors, we are responsible as role models, coaches, teachers, and connectors for our students.
