Writer Len Schoppa (Professor of Politics and Associate Dean for the Social Sciences at the University of Virginia) and Director/Producer Skye Fitzgerald present The Slow Way Home on Wednesday, March 16, at the University of Virginia, Nau 101 on the South Lawn. The screening, following by Q&A with Schoppa and Fitzgerald, will begin at 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The documentary explores how American families have largely given up on keeping our streets and public spaces safe enough for children, while Japanese communities have mobilized to keep their streets safe and walkable, not only for children but for everyone in society. Watch the trailer »
