School-Based Technology Staff Assignments
We recently welcomed some new staff members and have adjusted some Technology Support Specialist (TSS) and Learning Technology Integrator (LTI) building assignments for this school year. Click here to see the 2022-2023 TSS & LTI assignments. Our school-based staff will stop by your classroom this week to introduce themselves and make sure you have what you need for a successful start!
Get the Technology Support You Need
We encourage you to contact our Service Desk to request technology support. Check out this video to learn how to get in touch with us: How to Submit a Ticket. Please don’t hesitate to contact us!
Reimage Your Computer
Having your computer reimaged is best practice to make sure you have the most up-to-date and current software and teaching tools. Reimaging allows your computer to perform at its most optimal level, and it ensures that you have access to the same configuration as your students, which aids with planning for lessons using technology. Please note:
- Before having your computer reimaged, you will need to back up your computer. This resource will help you safely store your files and access them from any device. If you need assistance, please reach out to your school’s LTI.
- When you’re ready to schedule a time for your computer to be reimaged, please contact your school’s TSS.
- Microsoft now requires you to log in to activate your Office license. This resource will assist you with logging in to activate your Microsoft products. Microsoft will periodically prompt you to log in on your computer for security verification.
Change Your Password
We will require passwords to be changed on October 14, 2022, if you have not already done so this school year. Do you know that we have a Self Password Portal that you can set up to self-manage your password?
We will also require students in grades 3-12 to change their password this fall by October 14. This will allow for digital citizenship learning to occur prior to the required password change on October 14.
Continue to Use a Cautious Lens
As a reminder, we recommend that you delete phishing, spoofing, and SPAM emails and never share any personal information, especially your password, in response to an email. ACPS will never ask for your password in an email! Check out this video to learn more about using your “cautious lens.”
Technology Resources
The ACPS Technology Resources Library contains a current and convenient list of available resources, how to get them, and any applicable restrictions. If you don’t see an application you’d like to use, be sure to select “Request a New Resource” at the top of the page so we can take a look at it for you.
