Recently, the University of Virginia Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa (PDK) announced this year’s award recipients. Each year, the chapter solicits nominations from school divisions in the county and Charlottesville City, as well as Fluvanna, Greene and Nelson counties to recognize some of our outstanding practitioners who best represent the chapter’s principles of research, leadership and service.
This year, in an unusual development, all of the winners were from our school division. Continue reading

The Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) has released its 18th annual VSBA Showcases for Success directory, highlighting successful K-12 programs in Virginia’s public schools, including three Albemarle County Public Schools programs: CoderDojo Academy, Library Learning Commons, and M-cubed (Math-Men-Mission).
