Volunteer & Partner Appreciation Breakfast: Do You Know a Volunteer Who Should Be Invited?
Coming up on June 15, ACPS will host a Volunteer & Partner Appreciation Breakfast at The Center at 491 Hillsdale Drive from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. We will honor those who have given freely of their time to volunteer in response to the needs of our schools, as well as the community partners who have provided so much support.
Invitations were mailed on May 16, but we want to make sure we didn’t miss anyone. If you know of volunteers who should be invited, please send names to Gloria Rockhold, Community Engagement Manager, as soon as possible. Thank you!
Time and Attendance System: Kronos Is Coming
Dear Colleagues,
With the close of this school year fast approaching, I know many of you are already thinking about and planning for next year. In the same spirit, I want to remind everyone that we will be implementing Kronos, our new time and attendance system. Implementation for all employees will begin on July 13, 2019.
What Does This Mean?
Kronos will replace our current manual and paper-based timekeeping, attendance, and leave tracking processes. Continue reading

Is My Laptop Scheduled for Replacement This Year?
ACPS has a four-year replacement cycle for all staff laptops. This plan affords our staff members a safe experience with a supported laptop to complete the essential functions of their work. The replacement cycle is based on the purchase date and the model of the computer. In the 2019 replacement cycle, laptop models that will be replaced are the Lenovo T450 and all 13-inch MacBook Airs. Schoology offers significant advances in ease of use and a broader array of professional capabilities. 2019 Drinking Water Clinic: Kick-Off Meeting May 20
Through the Virginia Household Water Quality Program, Virginia Cooperative Extension holds drinking water clinics across the state to provide people with private water systems access to affordable and confidential water testing, including help interpreting their water test results and information about possible treatment options.
