The school division recognizes that due to the disruptions to personal and work schedules related to the COVID-19 pandemic, many employees are not able to take time off. We previously announced that the conversion of annual leave at or above 320 hours that normally occurs at the end of an employee’s birth month has been temporarily disabled. In recognition that employees may not be able to take time off for the immediate foreseeable future, the suspension will be extended until February 28, 2021. Continue reading

These modifications address the hands-on aspect of CPR for renewal and initial licensure and the status of provisional licenses and renewable licenses that expire June 30, 2020. Annual Leave Overflow Process Update
With the disruptions to personal and work schedules related to the COVID-19 pandemic, we realize that many employees are not in the position to use annual leave at this time in order to avoid losing leave above the 320-hour maximum accrual cap set in Policy GCC, Leave Program. Effective immediately, we are temporarily disabling the conversion of annual leave at/above 320 hours that normally occurs at the end of an employee’s birth month, allowing those with birthdays in March, April, and onward extra time to use overflow annual leave. The start of a new school year brings increased requests from financial services vendors who wish to have access to our employees. They may indicate that they are “official” County vendors and have Human Resources Department approval to present information about their products to staff.
