Environmental Grants Offered by Dominion Energy – Deadline: Apr. 30

Dominion Energy

Dominion Energy recently announced it will provide up to $1.5 million in environmental grants this year through the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation. Public and private K-12 schools can apply for classroom grants up to $5,000 each for environmental education programs. Since 2003, the Foundation has donated nearly $32 million to projects that protect and improve the environment. Learn more »

You Could Receive Up to $5,000: Apply for a Shannon Grant by April 19!

The Shannon Foundation wants to help teachers and schools implement their best ideas. Two levels of proposals are invited for the 2019-20 school year:

  • Level 1 grants, not to exceed $750, will be awarded to classroom teachers, individually or in teams, for projects that support original and innovative student activities.
  • Level 2 grants, not to exceed $5,000, may be awarded to schools for creative projects that enhance student learning across age and grade levels.

The Shenandoah Region of the Virginia Association of School Librarians (VAASL) is seeking applications for the region’s Librarian of the Year Award. If you know an outstanding librarian, please consider offering a letter of support and encourage him or her to apply for the award. The deadline for applications is January 31, and all applicants must be VAASL members.
