At this time, the Department of Human Resources is seeking volunteers for the Classified Employee Advisory Committee. If you would like to volunteer to serve on this important committee, please complete our brief Classified Employee Advisory Committee Interest Form by Sunday, October 23.
The Classified Employee Advisory Committee (CEAC) is an important representative group of ACPS classified staff. In addition to office associates, teaching assistants, and nurses, CEAC includes broad representation from the following departments: Building Services, Child Nutrition, Extended Day Enrichment Programs, and Transportation. Committee members will be provided with important information about ACPS initiatives and projects that will be pertinent to all classified employees and will enhance their overall understanding of division operations. In addition to being a means for distributing information, CEAC is also a vehicle to receive much needed feedback. Members of CEAC provide insight and real-time feedback on the impact of initiatives and information disseminated in the meetings.
CEAC will hold regular meetings, typically in the late afternoon, to accommodate the various work schedules of the participants. Committee members will be compensated at a rate of $30/hour for their attendance, insight and engagement in this important work.
An important part of building this team is ensuring balanced representation from staff in various roles, departments, school levels, and feeder patterns. We also seek to build a committee that represents the diversity of our employees. We intend to have four representatives from each employee group/department as well as representation from each of the three feeder patterns, but the volunteer nature of the group may not yield those results.
We will be accepting volunteers through October 23, 2022. The first committee meeting will be an organizational meeting, held virtually over Zoom, during the week of October 31. In the event there are more than four volunteer submissions from any employee group/department, we will randomly select the designated number of representatives from volunteer entrants.
