Making Connections Reminders: See You on Nov. 6!

Attention all ACPS employees: We are looking forward to our day of learning together on Monday, November 6! In preparation, please see below for logistical details and session highlights. As a reminder, we are offering Making Connections sessions at two locations and all sessions will be in person. All session details, including room assignments, are available on our Making Connections website!

Please note: In order to make it possible for all employees to participate in Making Connections, we will announce to families this evening that all ACPS facilities, including schools and department offices, will be closed to the public on November 6. You can read the community message here.

Making Connections for
Instructional Staff

Audience: Teachers, teaching assistants, school counselors, safety coaches, mental health coaches, and administrators

  • Date: Monday, November 6, 2023
  • Location: Monticello High School
  • Time: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Refreshments: Coffee will be available in the cafeteria beginning at 8 a.m. Lunch will be provided in the main gym at 11:30 a.m.
  • Parking: Parking at Monticello will be limited. If possible, please carpool from one of our commuter lots at Mountain View Elementary, Walton Middle, or 5th Street Place.
Making Connections for
Support Staff

Audience: Office associates and other support staff

  • Date: Monday, November 6, 2023
  • Location: Albemarle High School
  • Time: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Refreshments: Coffee will be available in the cafeteria beginning at 8 a.m. Lunch will be provided in the main gym at 11:30 a.m.
  • Parking: Please park in the front lots at AHS. There will be no parking allowed in the back lot, as that lot will be used for transportation sessions.
  • Session Highlight: All support staff are encouraged to attend the Wellness Fair in the big gym as one of your sessions!
