The proposed English Standards of Learning went before the Board of Education for first review on October 27. A series of public hearings are being held around the commonwealth. Locally, there is a public hearing TONIGHT, December 14, 7 p.m. at Albemarle High School. Registration of speakers will begin at 6:30. Rio+29 Small Area Plan Community Meeting – Dec. 12

On December 12, the Rio+29 Small Area Plan project team will be sharing three land use alternative maps and soliciting feedback on which best achieves the community’s priorities for redevelopment of the Rio+29 area. The comments received at the community meeting will be used to develop a recommended land use map that will form the basis of the Rio+29 Small Area Plan, a guide for the form of future re/development.
