As we roll out out our implementation of High School 2022 and the competencies focus in our Profile of a Graduate, it is important that we continuously align our focus on curricula, assessment, instruction, and learning resources with the knowledge and skill sets that our graduates will need to be successful in life—as community and family members, lifelong learners, and in the workforce. Teachers: Get Free Admission to the “Terracotta Army” Exhibition

Terracotta ArmyGovernor McAuliffe has announced that K-12 teachers in Virginia can receive free admission to the Terracotta Army: Legacy of the First Emperor of China exhibition at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) in Richmond. Terracotta Army showcases 130 works of art, drawn from the collections of 14 art museums and archaeological institutes across Shaanxi Province in China. Read the VMFA’s press release »

Drug Take-Back Day 2015Unused or expired prescription medications are a public safety issue, leading to potential accidental poisoning, misuse, and overdose. Proper disposal of unused drugs saves lives and protects the environment.
