Open Enrollment is available NOW through August 18th. Open Enrollment is the ONE time each year where you can enroll in or make any/all changes you wish to your current medical/dental plan elections, as well as enroll in a new Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for next year. Remember: you have to enroll annually in an FSA if you want to participate! Any changes you make during Open Enrollment will not go into effect until the start of the new plan year (September 1st for the FSA and October 1st for medical/dental). Continue reading

Between August 1 and 18, all Albemarle County employees should access the Open Enrollment system to verify personal and benefits information, make changes to pre-tax medical and dental elections, and enroll in a flexible spending account (FSA/Beneplus).

Registration Now Open for DLI Sessions on August 18

PD Course Catalog 2017-18The Summer 2017 PD Course Catalog has been updated with sessions being offered on August 18. This summer, all licensed instructional staff must participate in at least two 3-hour sessions that support our Digital Learning Initiative (DLI). If you are a teacher who did not meet this requirement in July, please make sure to register! Get started by selecting Professional Development from the Staff tab of the ACPS website; click on NEW: Internal PD Opportunities, Summer 2017; and Sign In to enroll. Free Emergency Preparedness Training – 7/25, 8/2 or 9/7

CERTThe Charlottesville-UVA-Albemarle County Office of Emergency Management is offering FREE Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training this summer and fall. Interested community members are invited to register for one of three Level 1 CERT courses: Tuesday, July 25, in the Albemarle County Office Building on McIntire; Wednesday, August 2, at the Crozet Library; or Thursday, September 7, in the Albemarle County Office Building on 5th Street. All classes will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. The Level 1 training orients citizens on regional hazards, personal preparedness, and elements of fire safety and medical operations.
