Now Forming Product Development Teams: Interested Teachers Should Respond by Dec. 3

Links to all old SharePoint-based landing pages will be removed from School Staff Directories on November 16!

NEA Foundation Grant Opportunities – Next Deadline: Feb. 1

The NEA FoundationThe National Education Association (NEA) Foundation offers multiple grant opportunities for educators, including Student Achievement Grants and Learning & Leadership Grants. Three grant deadlines are established annually: February 1, June 1, and October 15. Two levels of funding are available: $2,000 and $5,000. Grants fund activities for 12 months from the date of the award. Continue reading

Improving Teacher-Family Communications

VoIP PhoneTo better communicate with all families across the division, teachers now are able to use their classroom phones to make long distance calls to the parents and guardians of their students. This change will make it easier for teachers to engage students’ families. It also recognizes the diversity represented across our school populations, especially given the number of families with cell phone area codes other than 434.

These short courses provide teachers with the confidence and basic knowledge to try new things with students! Feel free to sign up for all topics, or just one or two.
