Students, parents, and employees are invited to recognize a teacher or staff member whose work should be celebrated. Any ACPS employee (teacher, office associate, building services team member, teaching assistant, cafeteria worker, school nurse, bus driver) is eligible for recognition, but nominations must be received by March 24. Academic Enrichment Grants – Apply by Apr. 15

MDEF LogoThe McCarthey Dressman Education Foundation (MDEF) offers Academic Enrichment Grants designed to develop in-class and extra-curricular programs that improve student learning. The Foundation considers proposals that foster understanding, deepen students’ knowledge, and provide opportunities to expand awareness of the world around them.

Apply for a 2017-18 Shannon Grant by April 21!

Shannon-Foundation-BannerThe Edgar and Eleanor Shannon Foundation for Excellence in Public Education wants to help teachers and schools implement their best ideas. Two levels of proposals are invited for the 2017-18 school year:

  • Level 1 grants, not to exceed $750, will be awarded to classroom teachers for projects that support original and innovative student activities.
  • Level 2 grants, not to exceed $5,000, may be awarded to schools for creative projects that enhance student learning across age and grade levels.
