Timecard Approval & Known Issues for 12-Month Employees

As a reminder, every Monday, all employees need to log in to their Kronos account to approve last week’s timecard. However, last week’s half-day holiday produced a glitch in the system that we are still working to resolve:

If you are a 12-month Non-Exempt employee who worked for any amount of time on Wednesday, November 27, please do NOT approve your timecard until Kronos accurately reflects your time. If you have already approved your timecard for last week and your time is incorrect, please log in to Kronos using the Kronos Dashboard shortcut on your computer’s desktop, open the Previous Pay Period, and select Remove Timecard Approval from the Approve Timecard drop-down menu. Kronos: Helpful Tips for Phase II Implementation

Phase II will launch on November 16! All regular full- and part-time employees who were not part of the Kronos Phase I implementation will begin using the new time and attendance system on Saturday, November 16.

Getting Ready

  1. Make sure you’ve completed your training module. All employees who are going live with Kronos in Phase II should complete their training module by Friday, November 15. You can access the online training modules on the Time and Attendance website. Continue reading

Kronos Implementation, Phase II: Please Complete Training by Nov. 15

Phase I of Kronos, our new time and attendance system, launched on October 19 for Broadus Wood Elementary School, Sutherland Middle School, Building Services, Fiscal Services, the Department of Technology, the Superintendent’s Office, and certain central office departments. Phase II, including all other ACPS schools and departments, will launch on Saturday, November 16.

All employees who will begin using the Kronos system in Phase II should complete the appropriate training module by Friday, November 15. You can access the training modules for exempt and non-exempt employees and teachers through our Time and Attendance web page. Kronos Shortcuts

Kronos Shortcuts

Have you noticed two new shortcuts on your computer’s desktop? A shortcut for the Kronos Quick Time Stamp has been added, as well as a shortcut for the Kronos Dashboard (Kronos Workforce Central), the full client website.

What does this mean? For the schools and departments implementing Kronos in Phase I on October 19, those shortcuts will allow you to log in and access the time and attendance system. For those schools and departments that will implement in mid-November as part of Phase II, you will see these shortcuts, but you will not be able to use them to log in until Phase II launches.
