Last evening’s school board meeting included a ceremony to recognize 53 outstanding educators and classified staff members for their service to our school division. From this select group, Jessica Eisenhauer, a Monticello High School math teacher, was celebrated as Albemarle County Public Schools’ 2022-23 Teacher of the Year, and Pecolia Conner, a teaching assistant and EDEP site facilitator for Agnor-Hurt Elementary School, was selected as the division’s 2022-23 Classified Employee of the Year. Congratulations to all, and best wishes to Jessica as she moves forward as the school division’s nominee for Virginia Teacher of the Year!

Each school and department in the division was invited to nominate a teacher and classified employee for recognition. To read more about Jessica and Pecolia, and to see the full list of nominees, please view our April 14 news release.
