Rivanna Solid Waste Authority will host the following special waste collection days this spring at the Ivy Materials Utilization Center (MUC), located at 4576 Dick Woods Road in Charlottesville: Residential Household Hazardous Waste Days on April 30 and May 1 and Bulky Waste Amnesty Days on May 8, 15 and 22.

Residential Household Hazardous Waste Days: April 30 & May 1

Household Hazardous Waste Collection at the Ivy MUC will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, April 30, and Saturday, May 1.

Free and available to residents of Albemarle County, Charlottesville, and the Town of Scottsville, and available to Nelson County residents who obtain a voucher from Nelson County government.

Bulky Waste Amnesty Days: May 8, 15 & 22

The next Bulky Waste Special Collection will be held at the Ivy MUC from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 8 (furniture and mattresses); Saturday, May 15 (appliances); and Saturday, May 22 (tires).

Free and available to residents of Albemarle County, Charlottesville, and the Town of Scottsville.
